Meet Dr. Stephanie (Kai-Tzu)
When your brain is in balance, you don’t just think better; you live better, becoming fully present for yourself, your loved ones, and your work.
Why I Started My Practice
Too many people push through brain fog and fatigue — told “it’s just life.” I know the truth. I faced it myself while becoming a doctor. Healing isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about uncovering what your body and brain truly need. I started this practice to change the story: to make integrative, brain-first care accessible, and to walk beside you with compassion, science, and a clear path to your best self. Today, I run a Seattle-based telemedicine practice across Washington, with in-person primary care also available in Tacoma.
My Story
Living With Brain Fog Before I Had the Language for It
From an early age in Taiwan, I often sat in the classroom with “a heavy head,” tired and disconnected, my thoughts clouded in ways I couldn’t explain. As an adult, those same patterns resurfaced. I found myself rereading the same lines in a book, willing my brain to focus, yet trapped in a haze that drained my energy and confidence. Despite trying every hack and pushing harder, my brain still felt “off,” planting seeds of self-doubt and making me question whether I could survive medical school, let alone start over in a new country. Like many high achievers, I pushed through quietly, unaware that my health, not my effort, was the real obstacle.
Naturopathic + Eastern Medicine → Clarity Restored
What began as a challenge became a blessing in disguise. Medical school changed everything — as I trained in Western naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University and through a scholarship in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, learning how neurochemistry, the gut microbiome, hormones, and stress resilience are all deeply interconnected. By integrating these insights and through a great deal of trial and error, I uncovered the root causes of my symptoms and healed my brain fog. For the first time, I felt in control of my mind and my path, with the freedom to be present, energized, and deeply connected in every part of my life.
Transformation → Why I Guide Others
That transformation became the foundation of my life’s work. Having experienced firsthand how debilitating brain fog can be, and how freeing it is to heal, I now guide others toward the calm, clarity, resilience, and confidence they deserve.
Through my clinical training and personal healing journey, I developed the Root Clarity Framework.
A four-pillar approach that identifies the root causes of brain fog and restores clarity from the ground up.

“Dr. Yang took the time to thoroughly listen to all of my symptoms and made sure to consider everything I shared. She was patient and never dismissed or downplayed what I was experiencing. I truly appreciated how thoughtful and deliberate she was in developing a plan to address my concerns. She presented multiple options, clearly explaining the pros and cons of each, which empowered me to make an informed decision about my care. Dr. Yang developed realistic and personalized plans to address my symptoms, providing clear timelines so I knew what to expect throughout treatment. Thanks to her care, my issues have been resolved. If you suffer from brain fog, insomnia, depression, mood swings or constipation, go see Dr. Yang!”
