Meet Dr. Stephanie
(Kai-Tzu)
When your brain is in balance, you don’t just think better; you live better, becoming fully present for yourself, your loved ones, and your work.
Why I Started My Practice
Too many people push through brain fog and fatigue, told it’s “just life.” I know the truth — I faced it myself while becoming a doctor. Healing isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about uncovering what your body and brain truly need. I started this practice to change the story: to make integrative, brain-first care accessible, and to walk beside you with compassion, science, and a clear path to your best self. Today, I run a Seattle-based telemedicine practice across Washington, with in-person primary care also available in Tacoma.
My Story
Childhood in Taiwan → Brain Fog
Growing up in Taiwan, I often sat in classrooms feeling heavy, tired, and disconnected, as if my mind was wrapped in clouds I couldn’t clear. I pushed myself to study harder, but no matter how much effort I gave, I still felt “off.” That early brain fog planted seeds of self-doubt that would follow me into adulthood.
Medical School Struggle → Self-Doubt & Fatigue
Later, as an adult, I found myself in front of computer screens, willing my brain to focus but feeling trapped under a haze that dulled my energy and confidence. I tried every hack — more coffee, longer hours, deep-focus playlist — but nothing worked. Like many high-achievers, I pushed through quietly, unaware my health was the real obstacle. My brain fog made me question whether I could even survive medical school, let alone start over in a new country.
Eastern + Western Medicine → Clarity Restored
Everything changed when I stepped into medical school, where I studied both natural Western medicine and Eastern medicine. Through my training at Bastyr University and my scholarship in Shanghai, I learned how brain chemistry, hormones, gut health, and stress resilience intertwine. By integrating these insights, I uncovered the root causes of my symptoms and healed my brain fog. For the first time, I felt in control of my mind and path. It allowed me the freedom to be present, energized, and connected in every part of my life.
Transformation → Why I Guide Others
That transformation became the foundation of my life’s work. Experiencing firsthand how debilitating brain fog can be, and how freeing it is to heal, inspired me to help others reclaim the clarity, resilience, and confidence they deserve. Today, my mission is to guide busy professionals through the same journey: from brain fog and fatigue to calm, clarity, and resilience.
My clinical training and personal journey led me to develop the Root Clarity Framework. It’s a 4-pillar system designed to uncover the root causes of brain fog.

“Dr. Yang took the time to thoroughly listen to all of my symptoms and made sure to consider everything I shared. She was patient and never dismissed or downplayed what I was experiencing. I truly appreciated how thoughtful and deliberate she was in developing a plan to address my concerns. She presented multiple options, clearly explaining the pros and cons of each, which empowered me to make an informed decision about my care. Dr. Yang developed realistic and personalized plans to address my symptoms, providing clear timelines so I knew what to expect throughout treatment. Thanks to her care, my issues have been resolved.
